3Keys' partner spotlight on partnership with Mercy Care Atlanta.

Atlanta Affordable Housing Network Partner Spotlight: Mercy Care Atlanta

Our work to end chronic homelessness in Atlanta would not be possible without a host of partners also working in permanent supportive housing. For individuals who have experienced homelessness repeatedly, many also face complex physical health conditions, mental illness, substance use disorders, and other challenges that require ongoing, compassionate care.

Our collaboration with Mercy Care Atlanta breaks down barriers that too often prevent people from receiving the care they need to live healthy, independent lives.

As one of Atlanta’s leading permanent supportive housing providers, 3Keys combines affordable housing with wraparound supportive services designed to help residents maintain housing stability and improve their quality of life. Case managers work closely with each resident to identify individual goals and connect them with the resources needed to achieve them.

Mercy Care Atlanta provides some of the most valuable resources available to our clients.

When a resident needs clinical support, 3Keys can refer them to Mercy Care for a broad range of services, including:

  • Primary medical care
  • Mental health care and psychiatry
  • Outpatient substance use treatment
  • Dental care
  • Ongoing care coordination and other supportive health services

Many people transitioning out of homelessness have no insurance, limited income, or no income at all. These barriers often lead to untreated medical conditions, worsening mental health, and unnecessary emergency room visits.

Residents can be referred for care regardless of their income or insurance status, ensuring they receive timely, caring treatment when they need it most. Mercy Care’s commitment to serving everyone – regardless of their ability to pay – aligns closely with our belief that every person deserves the opportunity to build a healthier future.

Our partnership also extends to our annual fundraising party, Cheers for a Cause, which Mercy Care Atlanta has generously sponsored in previous years.

Ending chronic homelessness takes a network of partners working together to address the interconnected challenges that can keep people from achieving long-term stability.

Together, 3Keys and Mercy Care demonstrate what is possible when housing and healthcare providers collaborate around a shared mission: improved physical health, better mental health, and access to recovery services that contribute to greater independence and a higher quality of life.
