Strong partnerships are essential to ending chronic homelessness and 3Keys is proud to be working alongside Quest CDC to preserve and strengthen one of Atlanta’s critical supportive housing communities.
Together, 3Keys and Quest CDC are leading renovations at O’Hern House, a 76-unit historic building located in Atlanta’s Sweet Auburn neighborhood that provides permanent supportive housing to individuals who have experienced homelessness. The community primarily serves residents living with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) and substance use disorders (SUDs), offering not just housing, but stability and access to wraparound services.
In this collaboration, Quest CDC serves as Development Partner, while 3Keys owns and manages the property, continuing its longstanding commitment to providing supportive housing for Atlanta’s most vulnerable neighbors.
Quest CDC, led by President/CEO Leonard L. Adams, Jr., is guided by a mission to build resilient communities. That mission closely aligns with the work of 3Keys – ensuring that affordable housing is paired with comprehensive supportive services, which helps individuals rebuild their lives and move toward independence and self-sufficiency.
As Quest CDC describes its approach:
“At QuestCDC, we believe lasting change happens when housing, health, and opportunity come together. Our comprehensive community development model goes beyond bricks and mortar – integrating affordable housing, supportive services, financial empowerment, and neighborhood revitalization.
By addressing the full spectrum of community needs, QuestCDC helps residents build stability, achieve self-sufficiency, and move their lives – and communities – forward.”
This philosophy mirrors 3Keys’ commitment to housing as central to sustained change.
Plans to renovate O’Hern House have been underway for more than a year and a half. The rehabilitation will preserve seventy-six (76) affordable housing units, ensuring their long-term viability in the heart of Sweet Auburn – one of Atlanta’s most significant cultural and historic districts.
This effort is supported by a dedicated team of partners, each of whom brings critical expertise, including:
- Development Partner: Quest CDC
- Architect: James Thomas Designs, LLC (led by Jim Viviano)
- Construction Project Manager: Carla Cooper
- Owner: 3Keys, Inc.
- Support Service Provider: Community Friendship, Inc. (CFI)
The partnership between 3Keys President & CEO Scott Walker and Quest CDC President & CEO Leonard L. The renovation of O’Hern House is more than a construction project. It is an investment in dignity, preservation, and long-term housing stability for individuals who deserve safe, supportive places to call home.
At 3Keys, we are grateful for partners like Quest CDC who share our belief that resilient communities are built through housing, health, and opportunity – working collaboratively to ensure that even more Atlantans have the foundation they need to rebuild their lives.
