Mayor Andre Dickens Visits The 3Keys’ Welcome House Property in Collaboration on Homelessness

Recently, The 3Keys established an agreement with the City of Atlanta to provide 15 dedicated beds at Welcome House, along with supportive services, to individuals living without shelter in the city. This is part of a collaboration with the City of Atlanta and Partners for HOME known as the “Downtown Rising” initiative.

On July 5, Mayor Dickens, his team, and partners toured Welcome House in anticipation of having new residents move in soon as part of his Rapid Re-housing effort. They took a look at bedrooms, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and common areas and the Mayor spoke with 3Keys’ leadership team.

The group Restoring One’s Hope of Atlanta, Inc. brought in welcoming kits, food, towels, toiletries, and more for the anticipated residents.

As part of the supportive services at Welcome House, the new residents will receive case management to assist them with accessing documents and connecting to community services.

The agreement for 15 beds – with the potential to accommodate more – is aimed at assisting unsheltered individuals living on Wheat Street in finding stable housing. The mission to end chronic homelessness in Atlanta is a definite team effort. A special thanks goes out to The 3Keys’ staff members that put their time and effort into creating the best possible tour experience for this important partnership with the City of Atlanta: Tyson Bailey (Property Manager), Mariah Dumas (Asst. Property Manager), Natasha Gilbert (SS Program Manager), Gerry Richardson (Asset Manager), Keith Dutton (Operations Director), Darren Peterson (Maintenance Tech), and Scott Walker (President/CEO).

Our collective goal is to help these individuals to thrive and be stable in their pursuits.
