WSB-TV’s Brad Nitz Coat Drive Provides 550 Winter Coats to Atlantans Who Have Experienced Homelessness
On January 23, approximately 550 warm winter coats and rain jackets were delivered to Welcome House, 3Keys’ apartment complex for our fellow neighbors who have previously experienced homelessness. In addition to Welcome House residents, coats were transported to 3Keys’ other affordable housing properties to be distributed to residents.
This incredible effort was led by WSB-TV with their annual Brad Nitz Coat Drive. Starting in December 2025, they aired calls for coat donations during their programming. Atlantans came through in their generosity, donating more than 10,000 coats to share with those in need.
The donated winter coats arrived to Welcome House in five large boxes, delivered by Atlanta Peach Movers. 3Keys staff displayed the outerwear across multiple tables and residents were thrilled to be able to try on coats and make their selections.
Adequate clothing is a foundational element on the journey out of homelessness. We are very appreciative of everyone who donated to the Brad Nitz Coat Drive to support neighbors on this challenging journey. We’re here to meet people where they are – and it takes a community of people who care to fulfill our mission to end chronic homelessness in Atlanta.
